Understanding the Vision: A Conversation with Guy Etgar
The first stage of the project was a conversation with
Guy Etgar, Vice President of Policy Advancement at Darkenu. During this discussion, I gained valuable insights into the project's goals, the organization's needs, and the key messages they wanted to convey through the website. Understanding Darkenu's challenges and vision was a crucial step in designing an effective user experience and content strategy.
Architecture
How Users Engage with the Site
After my conversation with the CEO of Darkenu, I structured the website’s information architecture and navigation based on user needs. Through research and analysis, I identified key interaction patterns, ensuring an intuitive user flow that allows visitors to easily access essential information, explore post-war insights, and stay informed efficiently.

Put ideas on paper
Once I was satisfied with the architecuture, I started to work on the user interface itself. I love to start with a low fidelty sketch to understand what works and what doesn’t work, and then jump to Axure to create more detailed and accurate prototype that can be tested.

The video showcases the homepage design of The Day After the War website, a project I designed for the Darkenu organization. It presents the website before the final styling and colorization stage, focusing on information structure, element placement, and user experience.
Additionally, the video features an interactive map I designed, which provides information about each country and visually displays its location, making relevant data more accessible and user-friendly.

Design
Clean and modern user interface
The final step was to design the user interfaces – the web app. My goal was to create a minimalist design that will help focusing the user.
